Welcome to my adventures in DIY and thank you for taking a look around. After some encouragement from some very supportive friends, I decided to share my trials and errors in DIY (and a few successes!). I hope my experiences can help you accomplish some fun projects around your house. If you have any questions about what you see, please let me know. I will try to answer as quickly and as best I can.
I grew up in a DIY household. My parents were always tackling one project or another around the house. When I was 10, my parents completed the electrical, plumbing and all the woodwork in our new home. Although I didn’t appreciate it at the time, I now realize what an amazing accomplishment this was. They did all that work and made a beautiful home for us, all while working and raising 3 daughters. My parents continue to be DIYers and always provide me with thoughtful advice and encouragement (they also have a liberal tool-borrowing policy!).
And this page wouldn’t be complete without a shout-out to my ultra-supportive (and DIYer himself) hubby and two creative kids, whose Minecraft homes blow our real home out of the water!
My DIY projects are divided into three main categories: New Stuff, Old Stuff and Fun Stuff. New Stuff are projects I complete from scratch; Old Stuff are existing objects that I re-purpose (some vintage and some newly purchased), and Fun Stuff is my home decorating projects.
